On Saturday, November 4th, 2023, England and Australia will play match number 36 in the ODI World Cup. Starting at 2:00 pm IST, the much awaited match will be held at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Australia is now ranked third on the points table, winning four of its six games. Through this, the side has accrued eight points from those games. Although they have played six games, England has only won one, and they are currently bottom of the standings despite their heroic efforts.

As both sides look to advance in the competition, this matchup between two of cricket’s biggest teams looks to be exciting. Australia, who are renowned for having a potent bowling attack and batting lineup, will be trying to continue their winning ways and further establish themselves in the rankings. England, on the other hand, has a strong team that is capable of pulling off an upset despite their recent setbacks.

With its opulence and extensive cricket legacy, the Narendra Modi Stadium is set to host an exciting match between bat and ball. The pitch at this location has historically favoured the batters, giving them a surface that is ideal for scoring runs.

However, because of the pitch’s tendency to favour seam bowlers, the batting side can have difficulties. The captain that wins the toss might want to chase the total set by the oppostion. This is because of the early bowling assistance and the dew factor.

The initial contest played here saw England score 282, and this one is predicted to be a similarly high-scoring match. In this World Cup, batting first has resulted in scores of 400. Therefore, if Australia bats first, they will aim for a similar score on the board.
