The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in the month of October. The first match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand will lock horns against each other. The venues for the knockout games and semi-final have been announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The Indian Cricket Board has urged solutions to solve the issue regarding the ticket prices from all the associations hosting the 2023 World Cup games. The tickets will start getting sold from August 10 onwards. The ticket will be sold on Paytm and BookMyShow. In a recent meeting of committee members, it was said that the fans can witness a slight change in the ODI World Cup schedule.

Three members have written to the Apex Cricket Council for a schedule change: Jay Shah

Indian Cricket Board Secretary, Jay Shah opined that the scheduling issue would be resolved within some days of time. He went on to say that there are three full member nations who have written to the Apex Cricket Council requesting to do some changes to the ODI World Cup 2023’s schedule.

“Three members have written to the Apex Cricket Council for a schedule change. Only the dates and timings will be changed, venues will not be changed. If there is a six-day gap between games, we are trying to reduce it to 4-5 days. The picture will be clear in three-four days. Changes will happen in consultation with the Cricket Governing Body. As I have said before, few member boards have written to the Apex Cricket Council and a decision will be taken soon,” Shah was quoted as saying.

The Indian Cricket Board and the Cricket Governing Body will get 300 free hospitality tickets for each match. Also, the state will provide  1295 tickets for league games and 1355 tickets for the matches against India and the semifinals. The state associations will give the Indian board 500 free general admission tickets to the ODI World Cup in 2023.
