Pakistan’s ace pace bowler Wahab Riaz recently declared his retirement from all formats of Cricket. Wahab Riaz has represented the Pakistan cricket team in 27 Tests, 91 ODIs and 36 T20I games as he sent 237 batsmen back to the dugout with his striking dismissals.
Speaking about his retirement plans, Wahab Riaz openly admitted how it has been an honour to play for the Pakistan national team, and how he now admires entertaining the fans while actively participating in the franchise cricket leagues.
Wahab Riaz officially announced his retirement through his social media account with a press release statement presented on the Google document. The caption of his post said, “🏏 Stepping off the international pitch 🌟 After an incredible journey, I’ve decided to retire from international cricket. Big thank you to PCB, my family, coaches, mentors, teammates, fans, and everyone who supported me. 🙏 Exciting times ahead in the world of franchise cricket! 🌐🏆”.

“I have been speaking about my retirement plans for the past two years, that 2023 is my target to retire from international cricket, and I feel comfortable now more than ever that I have served my country and national team to the best I could have,” said Wahab Riaz in a press release statement.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to represent Pakistan on the international stage. As I bid farewell to this chapter, I am thrilled to embark on a new adventure in franchise cricket, where I hope to entertain and inspire audiences while competing against some of the best talents in the world” added Wahab Riaz in the statement.
“The cricketing fraternity extends its warmest wishes to Wahab Riaz as he sets out on this exhilarating journey. His contributions to the game and his dedication to enhancing the cricketing experience are sure to create ripples in the world of franchise cricket” concluded the statement.
