Paarl Royals beat Pretoria Capitals by 10 runs during the sixth game of SA20 2024, which took place on January 14 at SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium in Centurion. Notably, Paarl Royals won twice in the ongoing edition, as they went on to defeat the Capitals in the third game as well during the ongoing league.

Speaking about the game, Paarl Royals posted 210/3 in the given 20 overs, thanks to great batting from skipper David Miller, who piled up unbeaten 75 runs, while Van Buren hammered an unbeaten 72 runs from 40 balls to post the great total. However, during the chase, the Pretoria Capitals tried hard to reach near the total but fell short by 10 runs.

Meanwhile, Paarl Royals skipper David Miller had expressed happiness for such a convincing win, which put them at the top of the points table. The middle-order batter revealed that helping them post a good total was a big boost for his side, which helped him get the magnificent win. In addition, the 34-year-old cricketer feels that they had a clear plan and executed extremely well to win the game. The southpaw was very happy with the win.

“Good score on the board and getting a couple of wickets at the start and then leaking was disappointing but that’s the nature of this wicket. Overall we had a good game. It (pitch) was a touch on the slower side. Normally it flies through. We had a clear plan at the back end and executed well. I am very happy we took that review to give us a two-minute breather,” Paarl Royals skipper David Miller said.

“With Jos Buttler there bounce a few things off him and listen to what he has to say at that moment. I was hoping McCoy finishes the over. We wanted to take it as deep as possible but strike as well. Getting two results home and away is what we asked for, very happy,” he added further.
