PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen; Round 3 overview
Round 3 for PGL CS2 European RMR A concludes, and we now have our first two teams securing a spot in the Major. Along with that, we also have our first two teams that are now eliminated from the race to the Major.
G2 Esports and Virtus.pro dominates high matches
FaZe and NaVi did not get a chance to breathe during the G2 and Virtus.pro onslaught. Both teams lost in a crushing 2-0 defeat on the same map picks of Ancient and Anubis. Matches were played in a best-of-three, owing to them being qualification matches.
While not entirely in danger, FaZe and NaVi did miss their chance to directly qualify for the Major. The teams will now play Round 4 matches. If they win their respective matches, it will be a spot secured in Major.
NIP and ITB are out of the race in Low Matches
Despite a great opening, Into The Breach lost the next two matches back-to-back, leading to their third defeat. With this, the team is now out of the race for the first CS2 Major.
Ninjas in Pyjamas is currently not as strong as it used to be, despite that, fans did not expect the team to go down like this. The team lost all three of its matches and will miss out on the Major.
Mid-Matches overview
The remaining eight teams played one single match in best-of-one, as they were neither in promotion nor disqualification. Eternal Fire defeated Falcons, while KOI bested 9Pandas. BetBoom Team also saw success against ENTERPRISE. The final match saw Fnatic defeat AMKAL.
