Sanju Samson has been an integral part of the Rajasthan franchise for a long time now. He was one of the four retained players of Rajasthan ahead of the mega auction of the Indian T20 League 2022. The franchise spent a hefty sum of INR 14 Cr to retain the player. Samson is also the announced captain of the team for this year.

But in a shocking turn of events rumors of a rift between the captain and the franchise have gone ripe. The official Twitter page of the Rajasthan team is often seen pulling the legs of the players in their squad. Recently the page was in the news because of friendly banter with Yuzvendra Chahal. But the admin of the page probably forgot the fact that not everybody perceives jokes and pranks the same.

Today on 25th March, a post was shared from the page. The post contained a picture of the team’s skipper in the team bus which was edited funnily by the admin. The post was captioned – “Kya khoob lagte ho”, meaning you look stunning. Apparently, the prank did not go down well with the star batsman. Soon, Sanju Samson took to his own Twitter account and retweeted the post. The caption on Samson’s post read – “Its ok for friends to do all this but teams should be professional…”

Following the incident, Samson unfollowed Rajasthan on the social media platform. The Tweet trolling Samson was taken down from the page following the skipper’s response. But the damage was already done as fans have already taken screenshots of the post and shared it making it viral. The event just before the beginning of the tournament is something that might bring in unwanted tension in the dressing room of the team.
