India versus Pakistan is considered the mother of all rivalries in the cricketing world. While the two no longer play in bilateral series, India and Pakistan meet on the international stages. India does have an upper hand over their arch-rivals as far as World Cup encounters are considered. The Men in Blue have lost only once against Pakistan in World Cups.

Notably, the defeat came in the last edition of the T20 World Cup. The defeat was a rather embarrassing one for India as they lost the match by 10 wickets. India also did not have a long run in the tournament as they got eliminated from the competition in the group stages only.

The 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup is fast approaching and India and Pakistan will once again face each other in the competition. While India will look to take revenge for the last time, Pakistan will try and repeat their antics of the last year. But according to the former Pakistani speedster, Shoaib Akhtar things won’t be easy for the Men in Green this time around. In a recent interview with Cricket Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar shared his opinions on the upcoming high voltage encounter.

“India will come up with proper planning this time around. It will not be easy or Pakistan to beat India in T20 WC this time. Predicting the match results now is quite difficult but Pakistan should bowl second as the pitch in Melbourne offers bounce to fast, bowlers,”- said Akhtar.

The former speedster further added that there will more crowd for the match this time as the Australian stadium offers more capacity.

“I believe the crowd will be bigger this time. Around 150,00 fans will watch the match live in Melbourne. Out of which, 70,000 will be Indian supporters,”- the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ added.

Talking about the high-voltage match, India and Pakistan will face each other on the 23rd of October, 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
