The Indian T20 league is unarguably the biggest T20 league in the world. Due to the tournament dynamics, not every player is fortunate enough to be a part of a title-winning campaign. Over the years, there have been several world-class players in this league who haven’t won the title. Today, we shall be taking a look at the best XI of players who have never won the Indian T20 league.

1) Chris Gayle:

The Universe Boss is the heartbreak of the Indian T20 league. During his peak, he ruled the toughest 20. Gayle won the Orange Cap twice. Besides, he has scored 4848 runs at an average and strike rate of 39.72 and 148.96 respectively.

2) KL Rahul:

Over the last few years, KL Rahul has been scoring runs in this league for fun. He has scored the most number of runs in the Indian T20 league since 2018. He was a one-man army for Punjab, and carried them for several seasons. His record in the biggest T20 league in the world is only going to get better. Thus, he would want to lift the title in the near future.

3) Virat Kohli (C):

Virat Kohli is arguably the greatest batter in the history of the Indian T20 league. As a matter of fact, he has scored the most number of runs in the history of the toughest 20. Moreover, he has scored five centuries in this league. His tally of 973 runs in 2016 is still the most number of runs scored by an individual in a season.

4) AB de Villiers:

AB can almost do everything. He has been one of the most consistent overseas batters in the history of the league. ABD has scored 4974 runs at an average of 40.77. He has a whopping strike rate of 152.67 as well. It is an absolute pity that he never won a title.

5) Rishabh Pant (WK):

Despite being just 24, Rishabh Pant has all the ingredients to become an all-time great. The keeper-batter has scored 15 fifties and a hundred in the biggest T20 league in the world. In 84 games, he has scored 2498 runs at an average of 35.18.

6) David Miller:

David Miller was an absolute sensation during his time with Punjab. Despite having a few bad seasons, he still has superb numbers in this league. The middle-order batter has scored 1974 runs in 86 innings. He has a batting average and strike rate of 32.9 and 136.51.

7) Irfan Pathan:

A peak Irfan Pathan was a complete match-winner. He has picked 80 wickets in 111 games at a bowling average of 33.11. His economy is decent as well, i.e. 7.78. He has also scored 1139 runs.

8) Rashid Khan:

Rashida Khan was Hyderabad’s MVP in the last few seasons. Bowling, batting, fielding, it is safe to call him a complete package. Not only can he pick wickets, but he can also bowl the economical overs as well. So far, he has taken 93 wickets in 76 games at an average of 20.56.

9) Jofra Archer:

Jofra Archer has arguably been one of the best bowlers in the last few editions of the league. In fact, he was the MVP of the 2020 edition. Besides, he can hit the big shots as well.

10) Amit Mishra:

Amit Mishra is unarguably the greatest spinner in the history of the league. Not only has he picked the most number of hat-tricks, but he has also picked the most number of wickets by a spinner in the toughest 20. Having the leggie in a franchise guarantees them four quiet overs.

11) Yuzvendra Chahal:

Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the biggest match-winners in the recent past. Despite playing most of his time at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is an absolute road, he’s still always amongst the wickets. The leggie has picked 139 wickets in 113 games so far in the Indian T20 league. This includes two four-fers as well.
