Three players who can replace Devon Conway in IPL 2024

Every fan from the cricketing fraternity is eagerly waiting for the start of IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024. The 17th season of the Indian Premier League will start from March 22. Last season’s champion Chennai Super Kings will face Faf du Plessis’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener on 22^nd March at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The 32-year-old southpaw from New Zealand is out of the league till May due to a thumb injury. Conway scored 672 runs in 16 matches in IPL 2023. Before the start of IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings suffered a big setback.

Conway was the third-highest scorer in last year’s IPL. Devon Conway was injured during the T20 series against Australia. He was injured while fielding in the second T20. After this incident, he could not even come for batting. Since then Conway has been under the observation of the medical team. However, now he will have to undergo surgery. In such a situation, it may take about eight weeks for him to return.

3. Phil Salt

Chennai Super Kings might go for a 27-year-old right-hand batter from England. Salt went unsold in the IPL 2024 auction. Salt may not be in great touch in recent times, but he is a class batter and also keeps wickets. CSK skipper MS Dhoni has also come out of his knee injury, we will not be surprised if Salt takes wicket-keeping duties in IPL 2024 for CSK. Salt is not only an aggressive opener, he can change the game on his own. Salt recently scored 116 runs in 10 matches in this year’s SA20 tournament. In, 2023 he scored 218 runs in 9 matches for Delhi Capitals. His best score was 87. Chennai might go for this aggressive batter for England.
