2. Devon Conway-Ruturaj Gaikwad combo failure:
At least in the T20 format, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad are rather comparable openers. Both of them take their time to focus and play the spinners brilliantly, but they are initially weak to swing and seam. Although Conway and Gaikwad’s initial combination looked impressive, especially under spin-friendly circumstances, it could be in CSK’s best advantage to split them up. They get along well, but over the past two IPL seasons, excellent swing bowlers have caused them problems.
