Trevor Bayliss has played domestic cricket in Australia for a few years. With no experience of playing international cricket, Bayliss has coached Sri Lanka from 2007 to 2011 and England from 2015 to 2019. Under his stint, Sri Lanka made it to the finals of the 2011 ODI World Cup and England won their first-ever ODI World Cup in 2019. He took over the coaching role in the Indian T20 League in 2012 when he was appointed the coach of the Kolkata franchise. In his tenure of three years, Kolkata clinched the title in 2012 and 2014. Bayliss then shook hands with the Hyderabad franchise in 2020, and the team successfully made it into the playoffs that season.
