Twitter reactions: Shaky Bangalore hold their nerves to clinch low scoring thriller
The rivalry between Bangalore and Kolkata is one of the most intense in the Indian T20 League. They faced of against each other in 6th match of the season at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The match turned out to be real thriller as is expected when the two teams meet.
Faf Du Plessis won the toss and decided to field first. Kolkata lost an early wicket in the form of Venkatesh Iyer. After that as a partnership was seem to building between Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer, Rahane was dismissed by Siraj and Kolkata was 2 down for 32 runs in the fifth over. The Kolkata middle order then lost their way and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Andre Russell was the only player who looked dangerous but Harshal Patel dismissed him for 25 runs, before he could be a threat to Bangalore. They were ultimately bowled for just 128 runs on the board in the 19th over of their innings. All the Bangalore bowlers were on song today, but Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of them with 4 wickets from his 4 overs conceding just 20 runs.
Bangalore was rocked by the Kolkata pace attack at very beginning of the innings. They were 3 wickets down for 17 runs in the third over of the innings. Things looked gloomy with both Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli back in the hut. But Sherfane Rutherford and David Willey batted against their natural instincts and decided to absorb the pressure. They stitched a partnership of 45 runs at a crunch situation a brought the match back in balance. Willey was dismissed in the 11th over by Narine for 18 runs. After this Kolkata clawed back in to the match with some good economical overs. Bangalore seemed like they lost the plot. Shabaz Ahmed played a short little cameo (27 off 20) and Rutherford looked to take it deep (28 off 40). But after the two were dismissed pressure was really mounting them. Just at the correct moment Harshal Patel put his hand up and scored 10 off 6 deliveries. In the last over Dinesh Karthik (14 off 7) showed his finishing skills winning the match for his team by 3 wickets.

Two maiden wicket overs in a row! Big wicket of Andre Russell after bowling five dot balls to him. Take a bow, @HarshalPatel23! Genius. #RCBvKKR

You can't score 130 and expect you will win a T20 match.. KKRs batting line up is absolutely shit. Rahane is the biggest upset of this line up. Iyers have to buck up. This is just a shady batting. Bowlers cant always help you. Shreyas and Venky has to bat. #RCBvKKR
