Pakistan is currently hosting Australia in a historic test series and the Aussies are touring Pakistan after 24 years. The first Test of the series was held in Rawalpindi and it was batting heaven as the two teams scored heavily in the match and it ended in a tame draw.

In the second match at Karachi, the visitors were dominant from the very beginning. The Aussies put up a huge total of 556 runs in the first innings, courtesy of a brilliant century by opener Usman Khwaja (160 runs) and a gutsy knock by keeper Alex Carey (93 runs). In response, Pakistan was dismal with their batting and just scored 148 runs in their first innings. Australia then batted a second time and declared with a huge lead of 505 runs.

While chasing the mammoth total Pakistan was 21/2, when their skipper and best batter Babar Azam walked out to bat. The Pakistan skipper dug himself in and scored a beautiful 196 runs. His partnership with Shafique (96 runs) calmed the nerves of the Pakistanis. Later Rizwan joined the skipper and they ensured that Pakistan do not lose the match. Rizwan stayed not out till the end scoring 104 runs ensuring a great escape for Pakistan from the jaws of defeat.

Immediately after Babar scored his century Twitter exploded with tweets and the fans started comparing Babar and the former Indian captain Virat Kohli, who is going through a lean patch currently, this led the fans from Pakistan to take a dig at the cricketer. The Indian fans were not going down without a fight, they also started responding defending their star. This is how the Tweet war turned out.
