‘Utho, nahao, Buttler ki tarif karo aur so jao’ – Twitter goes wild as Jos Buttler smashes third century of Indian T20 League 2022
Jos Buttler has been unstoppable in the Indian T20 League 2022. Rarely do see a batter in this kind of form, especially in the T20 format but Buttler is batting on a different level altogether. He has separated himself from the rest of the batter and stamped his authority as by far the best T20 batter of all time.
Against Delhi, Buttler scored his third century in seven games of the Indian T20 League 2022. This was Buttler’s second consecutive century, having scored a brutal hundred against Kolkata in the last game. His first century came against Mumbai in Rajasthan’s second game.
At the time of writing, Buttler has already scored 489 runs in the season, more than 200 runs ahead of the second best KL Rahul. Buttler’s innings, clubbed with a steady knock of 54 by Devdutt Padikkal helped Rajasthan reach 155-1 in 15.1 overs before the partnership was broken. Sanju Samson came in and played some crisp shots. He was batting at 35 off 16 balls at the time of writing, with Rajasthan at 209-2 in 19.2 overs. Meanwhile, Buttler was dismissed for 116 in 65 balls. With this form, Buttler will be eyeing to break the record of most runs in the Indian T20 League season. Virat Kohli currently holds the record with 973 runs which he scored in the 2016 season.
Rajasthan have been brilliant in the tournament so far, winning four of the six games. A win against Delhi will skyrocket their chances of moving into the playoffs. Meanwhile, Twitter went berserk as soon as Buttler reached the three figure mark. Many termed him as the best batter in T20s.

This time last year, Jos Buttler had never scored a T20 hundred. Now, he’s scored 5 in his last 24 innings – and 4 in his last 8 IPL innings
A remarkable player making the most of his incredible talents – undoubtedly the best T20 batter in the world at the moment
