Cristiano Ronaldo had a great debut for his new club, Al Nassr. In the friendly game against Paris Saint-Germain, he scored twice with the team winning the game 5-4. The Portugal international was adjudged the Player of the Match. Notably, he played for roughly 60 minutes before being substituted. Meanwhile, former India cricket team skipper Virat Kohli called out ‘experts’ who criticized Ronaldo the last year.

He put up a story on Instagram and started by mentioning that the 38-year-old Ronaldo is still a player of the highest level. The former added that the experts who criticized the Portuguese national are conveniently quiet now

“Still doing it at the highest level at 38. The football experts sitting and criticising him every week for attention are conveniently quiet now that he’s put in this kind of performance against one of the top clubs in the world. And he was apparently finished,” said Kohli in his story on Instagram.

Virat Kohli will be in action on January 21 against New Zealand

Meanwhile, the former India skipper will be in action in the second ODI against New Zealand in Raipur on January 21. In the first ODI, the right-hander had a rare failure considering his form with the bat since the Men’s Asia Cup last September. Meanwhile, in the first game, Kohli was going well after scoring eight runs. However, the 2008 U19 World Cup-winning skipper was cleaned up by Mitchell Santner.

In the upcoming game, the Delhi player would look to add to his 45 ODI centuries. If he manages to score a hundred in the upcoming game, he will equal Virender Sehwag’s record of six hundred. Currently, the former Bangalore skipper in the Indian T20 League has five hundreds to his name.
