Shaheen Afridi’s smart answer when asked about to choose between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli
Shaheen Afridi has been one of the most improved and consistent performers of Pakistan in recent times with his bowling skills and variations. In the last few years, he became the main spearhead of Pakistan’s bowling lineup. This Pakistan pacer is currently busy with his National side as Pakistan is playing a three-match ODI series against West Indies.
Before this series, he was in England to represent his county side Middlesex in the Vitality Blast 2022. During that time, he attended an interaction session with ESPNcricinfo and delivered some smart and cheeky replies to every question. They also shared the video on their official Twitter account. ‘I Like Both” – Shaheen Afridi’s smart reply
During that interaction session, he was asked to choose between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. In reply, he took the safest way by answering ‘I like both, yeah!’. He answered all questions freely and it was the last one where he came up with this smart reply.
He also picked his teammate and Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan over England’s Jos Buttler. He chose Pakistan’s T20 Leauge over the Indian T20 Leauge as well. While he has never experienced playing in the Indian T20 Leauge, he managed to win the Pakistan T20 Leauge title last year, being the captain of Lahore Qalandars. Besides, he was the top wicket-taker in that tournament as he picked up 20 wickets in 13 matches at an economy of 7.57.
Until now, Afridi has played 32 ODI matches for Pakistan where he took 62 wickets. He is also among the top 10 bowlers in the world (seventh) in the ODI format. Speaking about his current form, Afridi played both the matches of the series and grabbed three wickets against the West Indies. He bowled at an economy of 5.14 so far in the series. He will be in action again on Sunday (12 June) as Pakistan will look for a clean sweep over the visitors by winning the final and third ODI game.
