A few hours ago, former India skipper Virat Kohli remembered his match-winning inning against Pakistan in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Just like the fans, he remembered the innings with fondness. After all, his innings of 82 not out helped the Men In Blue win the game after being reduced to 31/4, chasing 160. Meanwhile, little did he know that his recent social media posting would create rumors.
Apparently, the image was captioned “October 23rd 2022 will always be special in my heart. Never felt energy like that in a cricket game before. What a blessed evening that was,: Kohli wrote in his post. After this, the fans thought that the 34-year-old is announcing his retirement.

An Instagram user also thought Virat Kohli is announcing his retirement
Apparently, the 2008 U19 World Cup-winning skipper also posted the same image on Instagram. A user wrote ‘Bhai mujhe laga T20 retirement announcement tha. Bhai aise subah subah post naa kiya karo g@#d fat jaati hai”.
Virat Kohli to return to the team in the Bangladesh tour
After having a spectacular run with the bat in the 20-20 World Cup 2022, he was rested for the ongoing tour of New Zealand. The Delhi player will return to action in the upcoming tour of Bangladesh next month. He would look to carry his batting in the longer format in the neighboring country.
The two-time World Championship winner was the highest-run getter with a little more than 300 runs in the tournament. Kohli would look to get some big scores in the series after having some fun during the break. Recently, he was seen in a temple alongside his wife and Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma.
