‘Warner ko le lena, reels mast banata hai’ – Rajasthan reveals hilarious requests they received ahead of mega auction
The social media handle of the Rajasthan franchise recently revealed the hilarious requests they received by fans ahead of mega auction. The auction will take place on two consecutive days i.e February 12 and 13. All the teams are currently making strategies on how to build their teams during the auction. Royals have had mixed performances since the inception of the Indian T20 League in 2008.
The team became champions against all odds in 2008. After this, they had to wait for playoffs qualifications for five years. The Rahul Dravid-led team qualified for the playoffs in 2013. Between 2008 and 2013, the team kept on finishing in sixth and seventh positions every year. In 2014, the normal service resumed for the team as they didn’t qualify for the playoffs. In 2015, the team finished fourth and they were suspended for two seasons the same year but came back in 2018 to qualify for the playoffs.
Since then, the team hasn’t qualified for the top four. The franchise took to Twitter and posted some messages sent by fans on social media. One fan asked the team to sign him for the season at only 15 per cent commission from profits. Few other warned them against signing Mitchell Marsh, while others wanted them to sign David Warner as he makes good reels.

The 2008 winners decided to retain three players ahead of the mega auction. The team retained their skipper Sanju Samson (14 crores), England wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler (10 crores), and former India U19 player Yashasvi Jaiswal (4 crores). The team has decided to let go of players such as Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jaydev Undakat, Liam Livingstone, etc. The team would look to build a team that can take to another title win.
