Virat Kohli is a worldwide superstar and there is no doubt about that. The former Indian skipper was in focus during the ODI World Cup game against Pakistan on Saturday. India had won the game by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium to go top of the points table.

Chasing 192 to win, half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer got India home in the 31st over. India extended their winning run against Pakistan in World Cups by winning game number 8 in head-to-head meetings.

Ahead of the game, the fans who were watching the games were treated to musical shows. The who’s who of Bollywood had come to perform for the 100,000 plus fans in attendance. Arijit Singh known for his melodious songs was the biggest attraction for the capacity crowd in the ground.

Arijit Singh’s fanboy moment for Kohli –

During his performance in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, Arijit Singh said “I love you Kohli”. There was a huge cheer from the crowd when they heard this from the Indian singer.

Speaking about Kohli, the former India skipper could only score 16 runs before falling to Hasan Ali. The 34-year-old was rushed into pulling a ball and was caught as he made his way back to the pavilion.

There was another fan-boy moment with Virat Kohli and it came thanks to Babar Azam. The Pakistani skipper was seen taking an autographed shirt from Virat Kohli at the end of the game. The two players were deep in conversation after the game ended when the moment happened.

There was another Virat Kohli moment which many fans missed during the game. Mohammad Rizwan’s time-wasting tactics did not sit down well with Kohli. The Indian batting star had a word with the player as well as with the umpire. Kohli could be seen looking at the watch while trying to get his point across to the umpire.

Virat Kohli and the rest of the team led by Rohit Sharma reached Pune on Sunday. The Indian team will next play Bangladesh in their 4th game of the ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. Team India has won all their games so far after beating Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
