Watch: Cameron Boyce sizzles with a brilliant double hattrick against Sydney Thunder
Cameron Boyce of Melbourne Renegades is having a match to remember against Sydney Thunder. The leggie picked up a magnificent five-wicket haul, including a double hat-trick to stun the BBL giants. Boyce was introduced into the attack in the seventh over and he immediately made an impact with a wicket of dangerous Alex Hales for 44, on the final delivery.
In his following over, he accounted for Jason Sangha, Alex Ross and Daniel Sams to pick up a double hattrick, i.e four wickets in four balls. While Hales was caught by Unmukt Chand at long-off, Sangha was stumped by Sam Harper. The next two wickets were LBW. Boyce went on to pick another wicket of Matthew Gikes, taking a marvellous fifer. This wasn’t it and Boyce also ran out Ben Cutting in the 17th over. Boyce ended the match with figures of 5-21.
A magnificent knock of 77 by Usman Khawaja propelled Thunder to a solid 170-8. In reply, Renegades are 49-1 in the seventh over at the time of writing. Renegades are already out of the playoff race thus would be keen to end the tournament on a high.
