Recently, Yusuf Pathan and Mitchell Johnson had a physical and verbal spat during the second season of the Legends League Cricket 2022. The incident happened during the Qualifier game between India Capitals and Bhilwara Kings. Pathan is playing for the Kings while Johnson is playing for India Capitals. The incident happened during the 19th over of Bhilwara’s innings.

The incident caught the attention of social media and became a hot topic. While it was clear that Johnson’s actions were wrong, the Australian media has defended his actions. In a report, a renowned media house claimed that Pathan was sledging the women umpire which is why Johnson took a stand against it. Meanwhile, Capitals skipper Gautam Gambhir has condemned his teammates’ actions. In an interaction, the former was asked about the actions of Johnson. He said that it is not acceptable at all. He added that there is no harm in having a verbal volley but having a physical confrontation is complete no-2.

Talking about the league, Bhilwara Kings and India Capitals will play the final of the ongoing second season on October 5. The Capitals qualified for the final after beating the Kings in Qualifier One. On the other hand, Bhilwara beat Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator game to reach the final. It will be interesting to see which team wins the title. Talking about the tournament, the first season’s teams were dissolved ahead of the tournament.
In the inaugural edition played in January this year, teams such as India Maharajas, Asia Lions, and World Giants. This time, these teams were dissolved while introducing teams such as Gujarat Giants, Manipal Tigers, India Capitals, and Bhilwara Kings. The Giants and the Tigers have been knocked out while the Capitals and the Kings will fight for the title n the next few hours.
