Haris Rauf is known for aggression with the ball over the years. There have been instances of celebration wildly after picking a wicket. Once again, the right-arm tearaway pacer came up with a wild celebration. The incident happened during the recently concluded game between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Both teams kicked off the tri-series between New Zealand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

During the sixth over of Bangladesh’s innings, Rauf bowled a back-of-length delivery towards the middle and leg stump at Sabbir Rahman. The latter tried to play towards the on-side but close his bat’s face a bit too early. It resulted in a leading edge and the white Kookaburra went up in the air. Rauf didn’t make any mistakes and took the catch easily. After this, he smashed the ball into the ground

Talking about the game, the Bangladesh Tigers won the toss and fielded first. The Babar Azam-led side had a steady start as openers, skipper himself and Mohammad Rizwan put up a partnership of 52 runs. Azam could only score 22 off 25 balls. Shan Masood came in and scored a quick 31 runs off 22 balls. On the other hand, Rizwan remained unbeaten on 78 and took the team to a fighting total of 167/5. The middle order of the Green Brigade failed to do well once again.

In the last one or so, the middle order has been under severe criticism. Meanwhile, in reply, the Nurul Hasan-led side had a poor start as they lost their openers, Mehidy Hasan Miraj and Sabbir Rahman inside the powerplay. Afif Hossain and Litton Das stitched a partnership of 50 runs and looked like laying a platform. However, their ambitions were cut down as Mohammad Nawaz took the wicket of Das. The former trapped Mosaddek Hossien for lbw on the very next delivery.

This proved to be a turning point in the game as the team kept losing regular wickets. They went on to lose the game by 21 runs.
