WATCH: Iftikhar Ahmed lashes out at fan for calling him ‘Chachu’ during 2nd T20I against New Zealand
Pakistan are facing New Zealand in the 2nd T20I of the five-match series at the Seddon Park, Hamilton. After losing the first match by 46 runs, Pakistan will look to make a comeback in the 2nd T20I. After getting clean-swept to Australia in the test series down under, Pakistan is back to their most-suited format which is the T20.
The Pakistan team entered the series with a fresh-looking team and is trying some new combinations in the batting and bowling front. Babar Azam has been repositioned at No.3 whereas Saim Ayub and Mohammed Rizwan will be the opening pair of Pakistan in the series.
Whereas, some few faces in the form of Azam Khan and Abbas Afridi have also made in-roads in this New Pakistan setup for the T20s. However, during the 2nd T20I at Hamilton, Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed got angry at a Pakistani fan for calling him ‘Chachu’.
The fan, expressing support for Iftikhar referred to shouting “Chachu,” in the stands which triggered a visible reaction from the 33-year-old batter. The spectator tried to pacify the batter by saying “We support you,” to which Iftikhar responded with a request to hush. Watch the video here:

Pakistan falls short ever after Babar and Fakhar’s heroics
Pakistan eventually lost the match by 21 runs while chasing a target of 195 runs and Iftikhar could manage just 4 runs in 8 balls. Babar Azam again top scored for Pakistan with 66 runs off 43 balls but wasn’t able to finish the match, while Fakhar Zaman also played a blistering inning of 50 runs in just 25 balls but lack of support from the lower middle order cost Pakistan the game.
Earlier, the Kiwis were again off to a flying start as they were 137-1 after 12 overs but the Pakistani bowlers, led by the impressive Haris Rauf, made a stunning comeback in the match. Rauf’s three-wicket haul in the 19th overturned the tide, restricting the Kiwis in the crucial final moments. New Zealand is leading the five-match series by 2-0 and the third match of the series will take place in Dunedin on January 17th.
