After the final, the former India legend promised to play one more season in 2024. This in all probability will be his last season as a top-flight cricketer. MS Dhoni is known to have a very polite and humble presence on and off the field.

Fans who have met Dhoni have always spoken about the warmth he shows while interacting. This was evident recently with the former India skipper in a short video that has now gone viral.

MS Dhoni is currently spending some time with his family after a hectic IPL 2023 season. The man from Ranchi led his side to an emotional fifth IPL title just a few months ago. After the win, Chennai joined arch-rivals Mumbai at the top of the honors board for the most IPL titles won.

MS Dhoni made his India debut in late 2004 against Bangladesh where he was out for a duck. His moment of reckoning came during his maiden ODI century against Pakistan in 2005 where he scored 148. The same year he scored an impressive career-best 183 not out against Sri Lanka.

Given the captaincy for the 2007 T20 World Cup, MS Dhoni-led a young Indian side admirably well to win the title by beating Pakistan in the final. Dhoni then ended India’s 28-year wait for a world title by winning the World Cup at home. The captain led from the front scoring 91 not out in the final.

During his illustrious captaincy career that nearly spanned a decade, MS Dhoni also won the Champions trophy in 2013. He led the Indian side to the top ranking in the test format in 2009. Apart from winning 5 IPL titles, MS Dhoni also led Chennai to two Champions League title wins.
