Watch: New promo for India vs South Africa featuring Aamir Khan is out!

India will be taking on South Africa in a five-match T20I series at home beginning on 9^th June. The Indian team under the leadership of KL Rahul will look to create the history of winning the most number of T20I matches on the bounce. India is currently enjoying a 12-match winning streak in the shortest format of the game in the international arena.

Notably, India is currently holding the record for the most number of consecutive T20 wins along with Romania and Afghanistan. They will be having a chance to have the record solely to their name with a win against South Africa in the first match of the series against South Africa at Delhi.

The official broadcaster for the India vs South Africa series is the Star Sports Network. To add to the sentiment of the probable record, they have launched a campaign called #ChaseTheRecord featuring Bollywood star Amir Khan.

Speaking about the campaign, a Star Sports spokesperson said – “Following an exciting IPL, the focus now shifts to bilateral series which brings back the ‘Believe in Blue’ narrative as Team India plays for another World Record. The campaign puts into perspective the tremendous fan support and belief the country has behind the Men in Blue. This will be a continuing journey across the calendar of events that lead to the main ICC T20 World Cup later this year. Aamir Khan was a natural fit for this film.”

The campaign has been conceptualized and created by the in-house team of Star Sports. Aamir Khan will be seen donning the Indian blue in the campaign and echoing the sentiments of a common fan. Regarding the campaign, Aamir said- “There’s always a very special feeling when Team India is in action. This time, they come together post franchise cricket to play for India and the world record of 13 consecutive T20I wins. I have blocked my time from 7 PM on June 9^th like all the other fans for the opening match.”
