Wasif Ghafoor, a fan watching a match in PSL 2022, became viral overnight for his dance moves during a game. The young fan was seen dancing and entertaining the crowd on the PSL anthem during a game between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United.

In an interview, Wasif revealed that he wanted to become a cricketer and even played for Mirpur Under-19, but quit cricket due to a lack of support. He later joined a pharmaceutical company in the city itself.

In an interview with Geo News, he said, “Singing is my passion and I have a craze for cricket. I said goodbye to cricket when I was not supported. I will be available for all PSL matches if asked.”

Ghafoor said that he had taken a leave just to watch the match in Karachi, and had to leave for his city right after. He went on to praise Ramiz Raja and Pakistan Cricket board to host an event like PSL.

When asked where he learned the dance, he said that he was not a professional dancer and that his dance on the anthem was in the swing of the moment. “From nowhere, I am not a dancer, I am just a normal guy, who came in the ground to support PSL, my favorite teams are Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi,” he said.

Ghafoor said that he was not expecting that his dance performance on the PSL anthem will go viral. He said that people sitting next to him told him that he has gone viral on the internet and started taking selfies with him. He only realized that he has gone viral when he started receiving phone calls from his city and friends, Ghafoor added.
