India is going to start their Asia Cup campaign on 28 August 2022 against Pakistan. All big-name players have returned to the squad after getting a rest from the recent Zimbabwe series. Now, ahead of this big clash, Indian players were seen sweating hard in the nets. The Indian Cricket Board also shared the same videos on their Twitter account.

Now, they shared a video where Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja were seen hitting some huge sixes in the nets. The Board shared the video with a caption: “Whack Whack Whack at the nets, courtesy @imjadeja & @RishabhPant17 #TeamIndia | #AsiaCup2022 | #AsiaCup”

Rishabh Pant’s form will be key for India in the Asia Cup 2022

Speaking of the video, both Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant hit some fantastic shots in the nets. They looked in superb touch as they were preparing to face Pakistan. India will bank on the form of Pant in this upcoming event. Recently, he scored a match-winning hundred in England in the ODI series.

However, India might also look to add Ravindra Jadeja to the lineup along with another all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Jadeja has also played good innings for India in recent times across all three formats. Hardik Pandya’s form will be crucial for India as he will be essential for both his batting and bowling skill. 

Speaking of India’s squad, India will miss Jasprit Bumrah’s services due to his back injury. KL Rahul just returned from an injury setback in the Zimbabwe series. He will look to open the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma. However, India will have the services of Yuzvendra Chahal as their main spinner. On the other hand, Pakistan also dealt with a massive blow before this tournament. They will also miss their prime fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi due to his knee injury. Meanwhile, India will look to win this time around after losing the last match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021.
