India was set to take on England at Manchester on Sunday, 17 July 2022 after losing the second ODI against England. Meanwhile, India won the series opener convincingly as now the final match started at a stalemate. India dealt with a blow before this match as Jasprit Bumrah got ruled out due to a minor niggle.

India won the toss and opted to field first. They also went with Mohammed Siraj in place of Bumrah. But, an interesting thing happened while Yuzvendra Chahal was bowling the 46th over of the match. Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was seen, delivering some suggestions to Chahal and it worked as he picked up the wicket of Reece Topley at the next ball. The video got viral and it got circulated quickly by fans on Twitter.

England set a 260-run target for India in the third ODI at Manchester

Speaking about that incident, it was 46th over when Chahal was bowling to Overton and Carse. Overton was batting brilliantly before he lost his wicket in that over to Chahal. Then, the last batter of England’s line-up, Reece Topley came to bat and Pant provided some suggestions to Chahal.

Pant was heard in stump mic, saying: “ Sidha Dande pe daal (bowl straight to the stumps)”. Chahal did not do anything else as he bowled a beautiful googly to Topley and it straight hit the top of his off-stump. This incident reminded fans of MS Dhoni as he used to provide such crucial tips to bowlers during his career from behind the stumps.

Speaking about the match, England batted only for 45.5 overs and scored 259 runs by losing all of its wickets. Hardik Pandya picked up four wickets while Chahal grabbed three wickets in the innings. In reply, India is struggling again as they ost all their top three batters cheaply. Currently, India is at 95/4 after 20 overs while Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant are at the crease.
