Sanju Samson came up with a Superman effort to save a certain boundary in the last over

Speaking of that video, it was the 50th over of the match when West Indies required only 15 runs from six balls. Mohammed Siraj was bowling while Akeal Hosein and Romario Shepherd were batting for West Indies. After four balls, only eight runs were required off two balls for the Caribbeans.

In the fifth ball of that over, Siraj bowled a wide delivery and it was looking to offer five free runs to West Indies.  However, Sanju dived full-stretched to his left and saved that certain boundary. Otherwise, that would have cost the match for India. Even, Siraj was seen clapping for such a heroic effort from him as he acknowledged that.

However, Siraj managed to keep his nerves in the next two legal delivery as India survived to win this thriller match by three runs. Skipper, Shikhar Dhawan was the player of the match for scoring a match-winning 97 runs off 99 balls while batting first. India is scheduled for the second ODI against West Indies on 24 July 2022 at Queen’s Park Oval.
