Watch: Saudi Arabia fans ‘take off their door’ after their national side beat Argentina in FIFA World Cup 2022

On Day Three of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022, the fans saw Saudi Arabia creating history against two-time winners, Argentina. In the battle of unequally, the Asian side humbled the Southern American side by 2-1. After the first half, the Green Brigade was trailing by 0-1. Notably, they would have trailed by much more if not for eight offsides in the first half.
Meanwhile, the Arabians came back after scoring two goals in the first eight minutes of the second half. This proved decisive given the Blue Brigade’s failure to capitalize combined with good defending by Saudi. After the game, the fans and netizens across the globe couldn’t keep calm as Argentina is the world’s number three side while Saudi is 51st.
In the midst of this, a video of Saudi fans going crazy is doing rounds on the internet. Hilariously enough, they took the craziness to a different level which can’t be seen every day. Apparently, some fans took off a door of their room as they couldn’t believe their team’s luck.

After the win, Saudi Arabia’s King, Mohammed Bin Salman declared a national holiday on November 23. The decision has been taken to mark the celebration of the remarkable achievement. He is currently in Qatar to watch his national side play. After the game, he didn’t have enough words to express his feelings and acknowledged the fact that Argentina is one of the strongest team.
“Wow! I have all the feelings right now. We beat Argentina, one of the great teams!” said Saad from Riyadh who is in Qatar for two weeks and was wearing a green Saudi Falcons scarf.
