WATCH : Shahid Afridi wants to gift knife to Gautam Gambhir for his sharpness during TV show

The camaraderie between Pakistan, all-rounder player Shahid Afridi and India’s aggressive and attacking batsman Gautam Gambhir is not hidden from anyone. After a 2007 match and argument Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi do not see each other eye to eye and have consistently been the talk of the town whenever  they appear in public. Recently Shahid Afridi appeared on the YouTube show and the interviewer asked him what gift he would like to give to Gautam Gambhir in a segment.   

Gautam ko kya dena chahenge? Afridi reconfirmed the name of the player and asked Gautam (Gambhir) and continued Gautam ko toh mai ye de deta hu ye theek hai uske liye, ye dena chahunga (shows a knife) the interviewer laughed and asked iski kya wajah hai bhai? To which Shahid Afridi replied bolta volta bahot hai maine socha zabaan wabaan kaat du uski (interviewer asked Shahid Afridi which item would you like to dedicate to Gautam Gambhir to which Shahid Afridi first reconfirmed Gautam’s name and showed a knife. The interviewer asked him the reason behind it while addressing Shahid Afridi as brother to which Afridi replied Gautam talks a lot so I thought I’ll cut of his tongue)

Shahid Afridi on Gautam Gambhir’s personality 

A few weeks ago, Shahid Afridi appeared on the YouTube show Had Kar Di and was interviewed by popular social media sensation and actor Momin Saqib. Momin asked Shahid Afridi about the reason why he provoked Gautam Gambhir a lot in the past. Shahid Afridi openly discussed that this has been and will be a common tactic in cricket, will you done to take the concentration of the player to make them lose their wicket or rhythm. 

“This things go on cricket. It’s normal. And I feel it has been more hyped up in social media. Woh different kisam ka character hain, aam players se thoda alag hain (He has a different character from that of normal players). His reputation is the same in Team India as well. It is not like it was only with me…he…I feel we should discuss more positive things in this show,” said Shahid Afridi. 

Momin further asked him a positive and a good thing about Gautam Gambhir to which Shahid Afridi appreciated Gautam Gambhir’s marvelous ability to time the ball well while batting. 

“Very few Indian batters I seen having such good timing with the bat. He is an outstanding player”, added Shahid Afridi.
