Watch: Suresh Raina perfectly predicts Matthew Wade’s dismissal
After going unsold in mega auction, veteran player Suresh Raina joined the Indian T20 League as a commentator. Raina’s commentary has been loved by one and all in the Indian T20 League so far. Meanwhile, during the game between Lucknow and Gujarat, the former India cricketer predicted the dismissal of Matthew Wade, who was playing for Gujarat. This happened in the 12th over of the innings, bowled by Deepak Hooda. On 11.4, Wade tried to play a cut short against Hooda but couldn’t execute. Raina’s fellow commentator Aakash Chopra asked the former for the prediction of the upcoming delivery. The left-hander said that a wicket might fall at this ball as Wade his struggling to strike the ball and the required run rate is going up.
Coincidentally, Wade lost his stumps while playing a wild slog on the next ball. The scorecard read 78/4 after the wicket, with the team needing 81 runs in 8.1 overs.

After the fall of this wicket, Rahul Tewatia joined David Miller and the duo stitched a partnership of 60 runs. The latter got out on the individual score of 30 but not before ensuring that the team was in touching distance off the target. Tewatia (40*) and Abhinav Manohar (15*) made sure that Gujarat reach the target of 159 runs with two balls to spare and five wickets in hand.
Earlier in the game, Lucknow lost the toss and batted first. They lost four wickets for 29 runs, thanks to Mohammed Shami’s three wickets in the powerplay. Half-centuries from Deepak Hooda (55) and ITL debutant Ayush Badoni (54) ensured that the team reach a respectable total of 158/6.
