The “Naatu Naatu” fever spreads like wildfire, even reaching Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. It shows no signs of stopping down. Kohli was caught dancing to the song “Naatu Naatu’s” hook step during the first ODI match against Australia on Friday. The song’s popularity has soared since RRR’s triumph at the Oscars. Even Kohli, who was in action for his national side, played the song “Naatu Naatu” in his brain as he fielded in the slips. On social media, the video of him dancing is going viral.

The historical action movie “RRR” by director SS Rajamouli made history when its song “Naatu Naatu” became the first Indian song to win an Oscar Award for Best Original Song. Together with “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman,” “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” the Telugu song was nominated in the category.

Team News: India vs Australia, First ODI

India decided to bat first in the opening ODI after acting captain Hardik Pandya won the toss. Rohit Sharma, the team’s usual captain, is unable to play in the match owing to family obligations; thus, Hardik is taking the helm. Four quick bowlers—Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Hardik, and Mohammed Siraj—and two spinners—Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav—made up the Indian playing XI.

Josh Inglis replaced Alex Carey for Australia after Carey had to return home due to sickness. Because of David Warner’s incomplete recovery from his elbow fracture, Mitchell Marsh, an all-around player, started the innings for the visitors in his place.

Here are the complete Playing XI for both sides:

India XI: Hardik Pandya (capt), Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (wk), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami.

Australia XI: Steven Smith (capt), Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis(wk),  Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa.
