On the third day of the ongoing second Test between Bangladesh and India, Virat Kohli had an off day with the bat and in the field. First up, the former India skipper had an off day in the field. He dropped four catches and it proved crucial in the context of the game. At one stage, the home side was reduced to 113/6 and led by 26 runs.

However, Kohli dropped four catches in slips on various occasions. This proved decisive as Litton Das scored crucial 73 runs. On the other hand, Nurul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed scored 31 runs each. Bangladesh was bowled out for 231 runs, setting a target of 145 runs for India to win. Meanwhile, a Twitter user recorded the video of Kohli’s drop catches and uploaded on the platform.

Talking about the game, the KL Rahul-led side is in grave trouble as they have lost four wickets and scored 45 runs before the stumps. At this stage, Axar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat are batting at the crease. Even though their main job is to bowl and pick wickets, they are capable enough batters at the crease. On the other hand, top-order batting failure has become a concern for the team in this game.

Just like in the first innings, the likes of Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli have got out cheaply. Notably, the stand-in India skipper’s poor form with the bat continued as he got after scoring two runs. On the other hand, last match centurions, Gill and Pujara also got single-digit scores. Also, Kohli’s poor run in the Test continued as he could only manage only one run. At this point, Axar Patel has been the highest scorer with 26 and counting. India need exactly 100 runs to avoid embarrassing loss against their Asian neighbors.
