WATCH: Virat Kohli’s fan invades pitch to meet Rohit Sharma in midst of IND vs ENG 1st Test in Hyderabad

The much-awaited India vs England match started in Hyderabad on January 25. As the players were ready to start the match, captain Rohit Sharma had a surprise visitor. A pitch invader came running to him and touched his feet. The whole scene made Rohit a bit uncomfortable but he dealt with the situation really well. As the security personnel came in to take the fan, Rohit asked them to be polite and handle the situation properly. The interesting part of the incident was the fan’s jersey.

The fan had worn Virat Kohli’s jersey while he lived the most precious moment of his life. This is not the first time any fan has invaded the pitch. Earlier the same incident happened with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and many other players. Just a few days back Virat Kohli experienced a similar incident. In the second T20I against Afghanistan, a fan came into the ground and hugged Kohli.

Apart from this, everybody is aware of the YouTuber Jarvo69 who invaded the match between India and Australia in the World Cup 2023. That was the first match of the World Cup for India and was in Chennai. Earlier too Jarvo69 had invaded the pitch multiple times and was detained by the police as well. Nonetheless, he hasn’t changed his habits yet.

India vs. England day 1 ended on a good note for the hosts

The five-match test series has started on a good note for India. They have scored 119 runs at the loss of 1 wicket. Indian spinners did a really good job in dismissing the England team for 246 runs. They have taken eight wickets while the visitors were batting, giving them no time to settle down. As the Indian team started the batting fearlessly, Ravichandran Ashwin accepted the fact that this was the much-needed start the team needed which would help the team throughout the match.

Ashwin said at the end of day 1, “The start that Jaiswal and Rohit gave us is making us breathe a little easy. Someone going on and making a hundred tomorrow will put us in the driver’s seat. That’s the beauty of playing this sport at this level.”
