In preparation for the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, which starts on July 27, 2023, with the opening match in Barbados, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team has shifted their focus towards ODI World Cup 2023. The Indian cricket team has been working hard in practice sessions as they get ready for their forthcoming matches. At a recent net session, though, it wasn’t all sweat and seriousness, as Kohli showed his fans a side of his lighthearted nature.

When Indian cricket players Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are involved, there is never a boring moment. A recent event that occurred during practice before the first ODI match against the West Indies in Barbados has attracted the attention of cricket fans all around the world. As Pandya’s quick, medium-pace bowling challenged Kohli. The all-rounder bowled Kohli a wide delivery. In reaction, Kohli swung his bat aggressively and hammered the ball. The following event, though, was what really got people’s attention.

In a playful way, Kohli teased Pandya after making the shot by breaking into a dance motion. The two cricketers’ amusing exchange was caught on camera and instantly went popular on social media sites. Fans were thrilled to witness this side of Kohli because they are used to seeing him as a serious and focused player.

Kohli had an outstanding Test series, smacking 76 runs and 121 runs in the two Tests. However, the focus is now on the World Cup 2023 preparations as India has a limited number of matches left to finalize their plans and team for the mega event. After ending his international century drought in the Asia Cup the previous year, he hasn’t looked back.

Then, in Australia, he had a fantastic T20 World Cup and finished first in the highest-scorer list. Since then, including one in Bangladesh and twice at home against Sri Lanka, he has scored hundreds of runs in ODIs.
