Former Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan has shown his satisfaction towards Bumrah’s bowling. Jasprit Bumrah has always given his best to the team and has been a phenomenal bowler for the Indian Cricket Team for half a decade. While discussing Bumrah’s bowling, Irfan mentioned his hunger for taking wickets and how it was quite visible during Bumrah’s run-up. As per the former cricketer, Bumrah’s bowling approach was quite aggressive and he aimed to take wickets since he got just two wickets in the first innings.

Irfan Pathan said while discussing on Star Sports, “We saw a fantastic aggressive Jasprit Bumrah, which was required as Markram was showing amazing aggression.”

Bumrah’s spell in the second innings did help India register a win against South Africa in the second test. However, his attacking bowling stopped the Proteas opener Aiden Markram from assisting South Africa towards a stronger lead. Losing the toss, India was forced to field first. Nonetheless, India dominated the entire match starting from the first innings.

Siraj emerges as an astounding bowler

Mohammad Siraj has emerged as one of the best bowlers in India. Time and again he has proved why Virat Kohli backed him as a red-ball bowler. Siraj’s performance during the test matches was quite impressive and is a sign of relief for India. The second test match against South Africa was quite a memorable one for Siraj as he took six wickets and bowled out the Proteas at 55.

“When I saw the wicket in the morning, it didn’t feel it was a 55-all out wicket. It was quite sunny so I didn’t expect the pitch to assist that much. Also, bowling is all about partnerships. There was consistent pressure from Jasprit Bumrah at the other end. He didn’t get many wickets but he created a lot of pressure.” Siraj was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.
