3. Ebadot Hussain – 6/46 vs New Zealand, Mount Maunganui, 2022

World Test Championship
Ebadot Hussain, Bangladesh (Source: Twitter)

Ebadot didn’t inspire much confidence before this game based on his record (11 wickets in 10 Tests, at an average of 81.55). But two years after making his New Zealand debut, he cast a spell that will live in memory forever. In a career-defining moment, Ebadot unleashed a dangerous fast bowling effort that demolished the top and middle order of the New Zealand team. His 6-46 stats not only were the finest bowling effort by a Bangladeshi pacer ever on foreign soil but also put an end to an eight-year streak in which no Bangladeshi speedster had ever taken six wickets in a Test match. Under Ebadot’s persistent attack, New Zealand was bowled out for just 169 runs.
