Since Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins‘ infamous match, the gimmick hasn’t been used in WWE. The two met within the harsh building in June 2022. Rhodes’ horrific pectoral injury during the game, which left the left side of his body black and blue, is well-known. The match occurred in the divisive red cage first used in 2018. Yet, as the world of wrestling moves to Hollywood, it is reviving the classic style.

Numerous photographs of the two-day supershow stadium build appeared on social media, suggesting the famous Hell in a Cell is back for the largest show of the year.

Edge and Finn Balor will face off in ‘Hell in a Cell’ at WWE WrestleMania 39

Edge commanded him and Finn Balor, the leader of Judgement Day, to finally end their long rivalry inside the jail at the biggest event of the year on the March 13 episode of Monday Night Raw.

It appeared that Balor was implying that his “Demon” persona might make a special appearance when he voluntarily accepted the challenge and said that while he was not afraid of Hell because he had been there before, it couldn’t handle his demons.

Edge cut a promo the next week that alluded to his horrifying previous visits to the building. He referred to himself as the devil in the promo before ordering Balor to leave Finn at home and bring his Demon to the devil’s lair.

Balor replied to Edge with an eerie advertisement of his own. He confronted Edge directly, the Demon flashing across his face as he spoke about their future encounter. Balor declared at the end of his speech that he never needs to call upon his demons since they are always present. Demon Balor imagery crescendoed as the vignette came to a close, indicating the resurrection of the famous gimmick. Balor will now compete in his first-ever Hell in a Cell battle in Hollywood, and the iconic Demon will make its first appearance at WrestleMania since 2019.
