FIR against MS Dhoni; cricketer in trouble?

MS Dhoni has been one of the greatest contributors to Indian cricket over the years. But in recent times controversies are not leaving the talismanic player’s back. In the latest news, an FIR has been filed against Dhoni in the Begusarai district of Bihar on Monday.

As per the news, the FIR was field because of a bounced check by New Global Produce India Limited. The FIR was lodged by SK Enterprises in Begusarai’s CIM’s court. The allegation from SK Enterprises was that a cheque worth Rs. 30 Lakhs has bounced, which was issued by New Global Produce India Limited.

Dhoni’s name has been involved in the case because he had promoted the alleged company. After the court hearing on Monday, the case has been sent to the Judicial Magistrate Ajay Kumar Mishra. The next hearing of the case will be on June 28.

As per the news, SK Enterprise were ordered fertilizers worth Rs 30 lakhs from New Global Produce India Limited. The company delivered the product but the allegation is that the dealer did not comply with the provider. As a result of the infringement, a huge amount of products remained unsold. The company thus took the remaining fertilizer back and gave the agency a cheque of Rs 30 Lakhs. But as the cheque was deposited in the bank it bounced.

Following the turn of events, a legal notice was sent to the company. But the legal notice has been left unanswered. After this, a representative of the SK Enterprises, Neeraj Kumar Nirala lodged an FIR against Dhoni and seven others.

Dhoni’s alleged involvement in the case is the promotion of the concerned product. However, no statement has been given on part of MS Dhoni.

Speaking of controversies, MS Dhoni was recently related to the surprise ousting of Ravindra Jadeja for the role of the captaincy of Chennai. Jadeja was announced as the captain of the Chennai team just ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022. But following the team’s dismal run in the first eight matches saw Jadeja being removed from the role. While the official statement of the team said that the decision was based on cricketing reasons, fans speculated that Dhoni was involved in the decision.
