The 20-20 World Cup 2022 has begun. As many as eight teams divided between two groups are locking horns with each other in the first round of the tournament. The top two teams from both groups will progress to the Super 12s, while the rest of the teams will go back home.

The Super 12 stage of the competition will begin on 22nd October 2022. The first match will have Australia take on New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday.

The highly anticipated encounter between India and Pakistan will be held on Sunday, 23rd October at Melbourne Cricket Ground. In this article, we will be taking a look at the some of the important details regarding the tournament, such as prize money, tickets, live stream etc.

20-20 World Cup 2022: Prize Money

As per the Governing Body of Cricket, the winning team will receive prize money of $1.6 million, while the runners-up will receive half the amount.

The losing semi-finalist will get $4,00,000 each from the total prize pool. Besides, the eight teams who exit at the Super 12 stage will receive prize money of $70,000 each.

For each win in the tournament, the teams will win prize money worth $40,000. The four teams which will be knocked out in the first round will receive $40,000 each.

The tickets for the perennial even went on sale on 7th February 2022. Fans can book the tickets only on the Cricket Governing Body’s official website.

20-20 World Cup 2022: Broadcast and Live Streaming details

In India, Star Sports will broadcast all the matches of the 20-20 World Cup, while the live streaming will be available on the Disney+ Hotstar app. In the United States of America, the fan can watch the games on live on Willow TV and Sling TV, while Sky Sports has bought the broadcasting right in the UK. Fox Sports will present the matches in Australia. The fans can also stream it live on Foxtel and Kayo.
