On 31 August 2022, India took on Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022. However, India won the match by 40 runs. They also qualified for the super four of the tournament. Suryakumar Yadav was the player of the match for scoring 68* runs off 26 balls only. India put up a total of 192 runs. In response, Hong Kong scored 152 runs by losing five wickets in 20 overs. However, Kinchit Shah also played the match as a middle-order batter.
He scored 30 runs off 28 balls. But, he made headlines after the completion of the match. His team might lose the match but he won hearts. Kinchit Shah proposed to his girlfriend His lady love said ‘yes’ and they announced their engagement in front of the world. Hong Kong cricket team also congratulated Shah.
