3 Players Gujarat might release ahead of Indian T20 League 2022
While the bowling unit of Gujarat looked good, they were looking for a second Indian pace bowler after their first option for the role failed. Though Yash Dayal did the job in the later phase of the tournament, they will still look to replace Varun Aaron whom they wanted to use as their second Indian pacer.
3. Varun Aaron: During the initial days of his career, Varun Aaron was famous for his sheer pace. But what has been a concern throughout his career has been his lack of control over line and length. Gujarat bought him for INR 50 Lakhs and gave him a chance to redeem his career.
But Aaron was able to play only the first two matches for the team. He conceded 52 runs in the two matches at an economy of 10.40 runs per over and just picked up two wickets. Thus, he might be released ahead of the 16th edition of the tournament and replaced by a better and probably younger Indian pacer.
