Mumbai took everyone by surprise at the Indian T20 League 2022 Mega Auction after buying the services of Jofra Archer, despite the fact that he wasn’t available for the season. However, with an eye on the future, the franchise bid for the English seamer and included him in the squad.
Mumbai didn’t have a great season this year. However, they are hoping that they will bounce back strongly. But, the franchise has now been dealt with a major blow as Jofra Archer has suffered another injury. The England seamer has been ruled out of the England summer due to a lower-back injury.
In the last 14 months, Archer has undergone as many as 3 surgeries. He was expected to turn up for Mumbai in the next edition of the league. However, with the pacer suffering from another injury, it is uncertain whether he will be part of Mumbai for the next edition of the Indian T20 League.

The Australian fast bowler pulled out of the last edition of the Indian T20 League tournament due to personal reasons but the franchise would hope that he makes himself available in the upcoming edition.
- Kane Richardson
Kane Richardson rise in T20 cricket is nothing short of outstanding. He has been a prolific wicket-taker in the Big Bash League and has been playing in the Indian T20 League for many years now.
In all, he has played 15 matches for Bangalore and has picked 19 wickets at an average of 12.00. As for Australia, Richardson has 37 wickets in 30 T20 internationals at 22.8.
- Kyle Jamieson
New Zealand pacer, Kyle Jamieson decided to skip the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League in a bid to spend time at home. However, he is likely to be available in the next edition. Mumbai could rope in Jamieson as Archer’s replacement.
The tall New Zealand fast bowler extract great bounce from the surface and also has the ability to swing the ball both ways. Jamieson could be a great new-ball bowler for Mumbai in the next season.
