2009 Champions Trophy- Zaheer Khan
Zaheer Khan, India’s World Cup 2011 hero, was India’s main bowler in 2009 but a shoulder injury meant that he was ruled out of the 2009 Champions Trophy.
India could not get into the semi-final as they lost to Pakistan by 54 runs. Their next match against Australia was abandoned due to bad weather. India, however, won their match against West Indies but the points were still not sufficient for them to advance into the semi-final. Australia defeated New Zealand in the final to clinch the trophy.
