On 26 August 2022, the first season of the Maharaja T20 League got concluded. Several players were in action in the opening season. Six teams competed for the trophy. However, Gulbarga Mystics and Bengaluru Blasters made it to the final. Eventually, Gulbarga Mystics won the first season.
Meanwhile, several players from different Indian T20 League franchises were part of this new tournament. Hence, eyes were on them ahead of the next season. However, they did not disappoint as Indian T20 franchises will be happy after seeing them back in form.

This Indian batter was the captain for the Punjab franchise in the last edition of the Indian T20 League. However, in recent times, Mayank Agarwal failed to grab a place in the Indian squad across any format. Hence, eyes were on him when he got the opportunity to lead Bengaluru Blasters in the first season of the Maharaja T20 League.
Meanwhile, he did not disappoint his fans. He led his team to the final of the opening season. Apart from his leadership, he performed well as an individual batter also. He became the highest run scorer by scoring 496 runs in 12 matches. He smashed those at an average of 49.60, including two centuries and a fifty.
