3. Sandeep Lamichhane
Sandeep Lamichhane, Nepal’s cricketer, was arrested last year by the Kathmandu police as he was accused of raping a minor girl in a Kathmandu hotel. He is sentenced to eight years in jail by the court. Moreover, the judge imposed a fine of INR 3,00,000 for the 23-year-old, apart from paying a compensation of Rs. 2,00,000 to the victim.
