After having a fantastic season with his Bangalore franchise in the Indian T20 League, Dinesh Karthik got a comeback call-up to the Indian T20 setup. He proved his critics wrong as he scored 92 runs in the series against the Proteas while batting down the order.
Then, he played the Ireland series also. But, he only got preference for the upcoming T20Is against England. For the ODIs, he did not get a call-up, and thus, it showed that there is no road for a comeback for Karthik into the ODI set up ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
