This is another young pace bowling sensation from India who can rise to the occasion in the absence of spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah. In recent times, the Indian Team Management gave him many chances in the T20I series. Till now, he played 13 T20I matches and picked up 11 wickets with a little bit high economy of 8.67.
Meanwhile, he did not have a good West Indies series as he picked up only three wickets in five matches. Still, the selectors showed faith in him as they picked him for the Asia Cup 2022. Hence, Avesh Khan will look to strengthen his chances ahead of the World Cup whether Jasprit Bumrah makes it or not.
