This young Afghan pacer can be a good option for MS Dhoni and his men for the next season. In the last edition, he did not perform well for the Hyderabad franchise. Farooqi played only three matches and took only two wickets. He also conceded runs at an economy of 9.16. But, in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022, he performed well for his country.
In that tournament, Farooqi grabbed six wickets in five matches. His swinging deliveries at the start of the innings looked vicious for opponent batters throughout the tournament. Therefore, Chennai can look to trade him from Hyderabad to use him as another front-line bowler alongside Mukesh Choudhary.
